Ruman Kazi, a graduate of the Stella Adler Conservatory for Acting, has acted in contemporary and classical plays, directed a critically acclaimed production of OUR LADY OF 121ST STREET from Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Adly Guirgis, and appeared in shows such as 2 BROKE GIRLS, NCIS, LIFE IN PIECES, and a recurring role on THE GOOD PLACE.
He is currently a member of the Road Theatre Company as an actor and director, and played a lead in their latest world premiere play, SPANISH PRAYER BOOK, alongside the great Stephen Tobolowsky.
He has made award-winning short films, such as LAST TO REPEAT, nominated for 12 awards, including Best Director and runner up for Best Film, and winner in the Cinematography and Sound Design categories at the Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Festival. He also co-produced and acted in feature film PERRY & EMILE, winner of Best Louisiana Feature at the New Orleans International Film Festival.
He can be seen regularly performing improv comedy as a main-stage player at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and Second City Hollywood, In his free time, he plays drums and sings backup in a social justice punk rock band called People's Militia at famed Sunset Strip venues such as Whiskey-A-Go-Go and The Rainbow Room.
He also worked with NBC, Disney, and Sony as a fellow in the 2019 Respectability Directing Lab.

Currently, he's in pre-production of AUNTIE HAS THE PERFECT GIRL, a South Asian Rom-Com about two generations of Muslims trying to find love in America, while exploring themes of divorce, mental illness, and premarital sex.
